Nature Conservation

Supporting projects at the intersection of human development and nature conservation

What and why?

The intersection of nature conservation and human development is pivotal for a sustainable future. Nature provides essential ecosystem services, biodiversity preservation, and climate change mitigation, all crucial for human well-being and progress. Sustainable resource use, disaster risk reduction, cultural values, and equity considerations are vital components. Aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals, this balance fosters resilient communities, aware of the importance of conservation, and better prepared for future challenges, ultimately ensuring that both nature and human societies can thrive in harmony.

What we do

We provide assessments of conservation projects, measuring the potential and real impacts on local communities living in/around conservation programmes. We help to design and assess strategies to conserve nature and to ensure that social and environmental safeguarding standards are integrated into programme delivery.
