In addition to our evaluations and formative research services, we provide a number of products aimed at smaller organisations. This is part of our push to democratise access to knowledge and expertise for monitoring, evaluation and learning.

Core

We offer a cost-efficient, rapid-response service designed for those with limited resources and time constraints. Working on a proposal for grant funding? Facing a tight deadline for monitoring and evaluation reports? We've got you covered. Whether you need an external pair of eyes for a quality check, or access to technical knowledge and expert advice, we commit to a 24hr turnaround time.

  • A rapid sense check of your theory of change. Does it contain standard ToC elements? Does the basic logic make sense?

  • A rapid sense check of your results framework. Does it contain a clear results hierarchy? Are there clear, SMART indicators? Are targets assigned? Is it practical?

  • A high level diagnosis of monitoring, evaluation and learning, plans, policies and procedures. Is there a system in place? Does it contain basic operational elements?

Advanced

We also offer enhanced support services, tailored to individual organisational needs. This level of support is better suited to organisations developing larger proposals, writing annual reports, conducting internal systems audits, or conducting external evaluations. This range of work is typically offered as a 5-day consultation package, covering each of the topics under the ‘core’ offering.

  • Enhanced review of ToC, combined with a small number of staff interviews to test logic, benchmark with external relevant ToCs/models and build recommendations. 

  • A more in-depth review of the RFW, looking at each indicator and target in detail, with specific recommendations / edits for improvement.

  • A deeper dive into the MEL system, looking at individual components, workflows and operational units involved. It also includes reviews of policies and other operational literature related to MEL.

    Advanced products are delivered within 5 working days.

  • Core products are suited for small budget holders, those in need of a rapid turnaround, or those with limited in-house QA resource.

    Advanced products are for those with more complex requirements - whether updating systems and tools, developing a new programme or strategy, or preparing for a large evaluation.

  • Core - We provide a short report (1-2 pages) with insights, quality diagnosis and recommendations.

    Advanced - We provide a more detailed report (3-5 pages) containing specific and actionable recommendations and / or direct edits / draft products.
